The staff at Shalai is extremely welcoming and friendly. The reception checked us into our room and showed us where everything was located. We were able to park directly out front when we arrived, but later that evening (after our excursion) we parked in public parking less than 50 m. away. The common areas of the hotel are very nice. Plenty of towels, a nice robe and flip flops were a nice touch. We had a room with a balcony. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff at breakfast was welcoming and lovely.

Staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. Took a real interest in our stay, arranged excursions and taxis. Luigui especially. The somelliers really knew their stuff. The Michelin star restaurant was amazing and the spa and massage was fantastic.

The room was spacious and we'll appointed except for one or two minor details not worth mentioning. The food was so over-the-top Michelin style that I cannot complain, only that it is not for everyone. Interior balcony provided a good spot for a quiet lunch of food bought at local market

Great room in junior suite. Make you feel special. Restaurant and food in general is spectacular. Beautiful place to spend a romantic night before or after go to Etna.
